Christians, do the teachings of Jesus supersede those of Paul?

Paul's position on this, over and over, is that the Torah is of no consequence, other than to define what sin is. This is entirely non-Jewish, and hence unlikely to have been taught by Jesus the Galilean. In all of Paul's writing, he seems entirely oblivious to the earthly ministry of the Galilean. His only concern with Jesus is the death and resurrection story, which he uses to construct his "Christ" thesis, modeled only loosely on the Hebrew concept of "Messiah."
