How long after you reverted to Islam did you wear hijab?

I wore it from the day I converted, although Muslims I knew advised me to take my time and not rush into wearing it. I didn't lose my job and my parents got used to it (I was not living with them at the time). But hijab is not the be-all-and-end-all of the religion. I would be reluctant to tell you you have got to wear it even though I realise it is the majority opinion of scholars because I know it can be hard. I just want to say my heart goes out to you, you are my sister and I am so happy that God is calling you to Islam.
