What's up with the girls on that show Laguna Beach?

It seems like they are so damn shallow and spolied;all the girls look the same they hav ethe same ugly bleach blonde hair and the same arrogant attitude; why does MTV put useless crap like this on T.V.? The network is always making shows about rich teens, it so annoying.
